2004 Mongolia. Documentation and collection of data with regard to nomadic past and future. An invited lecturer on the future of nomadism as viable economic strategy. 
2004 Iran. Documentation and collection of data regarding modern Iranian society and an ancient civilization of Jiroft. A special correspondent for Salt Lake Tribune, Utah. 
2002 China. Documentation and collection of data concerning the Silk Road and Tarim Basin mummies. 
1999 Iraq. Documentation and evaluation of ancient sites, especially of the South. First video and photo documentation of ancient Umma and Adab, and the last documentation of marshes. 
1999 Iraq. A correspondent for The World & I, the Washington Times. Evaluation of social situation in Iraq under Saddam Hussein.
1998 Jordan. Intended trip to Iraq changed into research on reactions in the Middle East toward the U.S. and British decision to bomb Iraq. A correspondent for The World & I,  the Washington Times.
